Brief History Built in 2006 for Carl. Carl being an aero-engineer ensured that the boat he commissioned was built to the highest standards, regularly visiting Ta Yang Shipyard to inspect and oversee the commissioning of this luxury yacht. Everything is made with the highest quality materials, finishes and fittings. No expense was spared while Carl ensured that the entire vessel was A1 grade before accepting delivery. The yacht was finally delivered in 2008 and moored in HHYC where she has remained since. Carl enjoyed the boat for a few years before circumstances required them to sell.

Beginning with the hull the Tayana 58’ is hand laid, epoxy fiberglass with one-piece cast iron ballast encapsulated into the keel. The deck and coach house are also hand laid FRP with cored deck and molded nonskid on the coach house deck. The rest of the decks are teak, as are the cockpit seats and floor. The outside teak decks were fully re-caulked in 2023, a massive undertaking that will ensure the life of the teak for many years (when taken care of properly).

Jannati’s engine is a Yanmar 4 Cylinder Turbo producing 160Hp with a fuel burn of approx 4 liters an hour at 2000rmp, cruising at approx 7.5 knots. ENGINE HOURS 1409, (Regularly serviced)

The mast and boom are aluminum with LeisureFurl In Boom Furling for the main sail. The Mainsail is approx. 80m square while the Jenoa is some 110m and the Jennaka 180m. There is also a staysail for stronger Beufort readings. In addition the In boom furling allows for quick, safe and easy reefing of the main, even when conditions have deteriorated.

Jannati is no slow poke on the wind and moves briskly at 9.6 knots hull speed under full sail. Cruising easily at 7 knots in a 15knot breeze with the Jennaka, but best put it away after as it’s a light wind cruising chute . The Jenoa with a F6 will get the rails wet and put a smile on everyone’s face.

Recently upgraded B&G Multi Function Display with 4.5G Radar and intergrated AIS display and tracking, weather overlay and sonar/depth monitoring via forward looking sonar. (Can find fish too) Full Icom VHF and HF systems with remote for cockpit. EPrB, Sat Nav and Sat Phone Systems as well as a full suit a safety gear and first aid kit are also standard equipment for ocean passages. There is a fire extingushier in every cabin.

All Electrical Systems are of the highest quality and regularly upgraded and maintained. The vesseel has 1300amp house bank of AGM Cells, a 400 amp bank for the starter and running the boat systems as well as separate bank for the windlass and another for the bow thruster. These are all powered and charge thru an intelligent battery monitor and charging system by Victron and Newmar. All wiring is ISO 9002 Tinned Marine Grade as specificed by AYBC Standards and Carl. Also installed are Canalupi LED lighting throughout the boat as well as RED recess lighting for passage making controlled by a central switch at the companionway.

Tayana 58’ Hull #111, Jannati is unlike any other Tayan 58 we know of. The lavish use of 316 Stainless Steal in the commissioning process earned her the nickname ‘Bling’. Highlights of Janniti are her proven Blue Water Capabilities, in 2017 the current owner and a group of family and friends spent a month crusing the Philipines, Coron and Palawan. They then easily double handed the boat back to HK taking just over 4 days to complete the passage, and catching some nice Dorado. The current owner has also done many trips around HK and the boat is regularly used.
